Dreamforce, an annual four days Salesforce event, is\nknown for its grandness. The event brings together the entire Salesforce\ncommunity under one roof to celebrate the success of Trailblazers and\ncustomers. Salesforce Dreamforce is an event where Trailblazers from around the\nglobe share their success stories and knowledge with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last year the event drew 170 000 registered\nattendees. Seeing the delicacy of the current situation, the company has taken\nanother decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In its April\nstatement, Salesforce has released a statement in which it said that to ensure\nthe health and safety of its customers, partners, communities, and employees,\nit has decided to reimagine its Dreamforce 2020 event in the new and virtual\nway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, seeing the increasing numbers of Covid-19 cases globally, it seems that Salesforce is not sure if it will going to organize Dreamforce, the mega annual event this November, at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In an interview with The Information, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff<\/a> has given a hint that the company might entirely forego Dreamforce event 2020, the largest & the star-stud event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDreamforce is\nobviously a critical brand for Salesforce, but there\u2019s no Dreamforce this\nyear,\u201d Benioff said in an interview with The Information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He also said that he is no longer sure if such a gigantic event will ever be replaced by a digital format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the other\nhand, Silverline, a leading Salesforce channel partner, has been dexterously\nworking with Salesforce for the preparation of the digital conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Chief Growth\nOfficer, Kai Hsiung told CRN, \u201cFrom that perspective, we\u2019ve been eager to see\nhow a virtual Dreamforce could take place, with Silverline supporting it with\nall our digital marketing capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n However,\nSalesforce is not the only company in the ecosystem of tech giants who have\ntaken such a decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Earlier in\nMarch, Google has also decided to cancel Google Cloud Next \u201820: Digital Connect\nevent, which was scheduled to take place in April in San Francisco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In its earlier\nupdate, Salesforce has also said that along with the Dreamforce event, the\ncompany is also planning to reimagine its other major events and conferences\nlike Tableau Conference 2020, Tableau Conference Europe, TrailheaDX India, and\nworld tours to organize virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At this point,\nwhen the entire world is going through turmoil, we can\u2019t exactly say if\nSalesforce will cancel the Dreamforce entirely or not, but on the same hand, we\nalso cannot ignore the hint given by Marc Benioff.
